I love stitches.

It's true ...

After-all my world award winning book Knit and Nibble is full of them!

Knit and Nibble by James McIntosh and Dr Thomas A. Ernst FRCP

Did you know, in the last scarf I hand knit it has 54,000 stitches!

Sounds like a lot?

Not really, it's just one stitch at a time.

It's what Dr Thomas A. Ernst FRCP and myself call #knititation

Stitches to me are creation blocks of pattern, the reality of what I'm feeling as I knit them. A tangible story of mental hygiene.

As someone who can speak first hand of suffering from and recovering from the debilitating illness that is depression. I know too well about the benefits of the meditative effects gained by hand knitting. For me, knitting is healing. And, I'm going to talk about this with Dr Thomas A. Ernst at CHSI STITCHES - the UK's trade show for all things stitches!

Our talk will be about using just 2 stitches for wellbeing, about how to extol the benefits of #knititation to your customers.

Our seminar is on Sunday 17th February 2019 at 12:15pm at CHSI STITCHES in the NEC in Birmingham.

Why go to CHSI STITCHES?

There are over 6,000 buyers who attend and over 50% of the UK craft industry is represented with access to buyers from 35 countries. The importance of craft is not just make and do, there is more to this and Dr Ernst and I will be explaining. We hope to see you there.
