Imagine having two whole days indulging in your favourite hobby with no cooking, cleaning or washing up!
Rather, it's a time to sew, knit or crochet, attend fantastic, skill-enhancing workshops, informative talks and a pop-up marketplace.
I will be talking about the story behind Knit and Nibble and how one stitch at a time helped me to knit myself back together after depression.
It's a story of love, adversity, stitches, self discovery and what life is like when faced with an illness. It won't be a doom and gloom afternoon ... I promise a time of laughter, anecdotes, the reality of depression and how I came through the other side, one stitch at a time.
They say laughter is the best medicine, combine that with knitting and honesty about one's feelings and we have a great potion for regaining self-worth to overcome depression.
Dr Ernst will be then speaking at how to use knitting and craft as a mindfulness practise and he will be explaining both how to practice mindfulness and the reasons why we should practise.
