Come and join James McIntosh, Dr Thomas Ernst FRCP and Nina Dodd at the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing at the University of Brighton on Friday 13th March as they talk about Knititation and all things mindfulness.

Knitting, or Knititation® as James and Dr Thomas call it, is a beginners tool to mindfulness. It's all to develop a sense of wellbeing, stating with one stitch at a time, and the story of how James McIntosh struggled with mindfulness when he was suffering from a moderately severe depressive episode.

Dr Thomas Ernst is a consultant physician in a large central London teaching hospital specialising in geriatric and autonomic medicine who uses mindfulness in a clinical setting for acute illness and chronic pain.

James McIntosh has won multiple international awards as a food writer and together with Dr Thomas is the co-author of the world award winning Knit and Nibble.

Nina Dodd, author of Invisible Jumpers will have needles and yarn available if you would like to knit during the talks.
